In this world where classes for an hour or even 45mins are £20 or more a go it can become pretty expensive if you want to work out a lot or the budget is tight. So is there a way to make exercising cheaper or better yet completely free? Here are a few places that make getting fit more affordable…..
Who: Adidas 152 Studio
When: Through out the week Mon-Sun, you can get to a class before or after work too.
A women’s only studio with free classes and run clubs in the heart of Brick Lane, Shoreditch. The 152 Studio has a cafe downstairs and a selection of their clothing to purchase. Classes can be booked via their chat bot which I find a little annoying as you have to have facebook for it, however they have an awesome selection of classes and teachers.
When: Throughout the week with specific events at some stores.
They run classes both in store and run clubs too. They often advertise events on Eventbrite too. There are in-house yoga classes and talks too with guests from the fitness industry.
Who: Never Stop London
When: Tuesday at 18:30 from their Covent Garden store
These sessions are ran by The North Face. The sessions are based on strength and conditioning. Sign up on Eventbrite for free, they also do bouldering sessions.
Who: Our Parks
When: Multiple times throughout the week
Our Parks has been set up to allow people to get fit for free. They have a wealth of classes from yoga to skipping to buggy fit or skatercise. These sessions are run in local parks/grounds by qualified instructors. The classes are an hour in duration and put into two categories depending on whether you want a light workout or more challenging.
Who: Sweaty Betty
When: Through out the week every week, with additional events.
Sweaty Betty Get Fit for Free offer free in store classes that include yoga, pilates, outdoor bootcamp, barre and more. In order to book head to their site here, but hurry they sell out fast!
