GoodGym – In various locations a run club with a difference. I wrote a blog about what they do here. However in short you meet up run to a location volunteer for 20mins or so and then run back. What could be better than running and doing something good at the same time? They are a super friendly bunch so if you are starting out why not go and join them. For details on times and locations head to their website, GoodGym they are all over the country.
Track Mafia – After the Nike Run Clubs from their flagship Oxford Street stopped there have been a few breakout clubs, some that had started before and others after. There are a few clubs that are affiliated with Nike still and one is Track Mafia. TM are known for their track sessions at Paddington Rec but they now do a Monday night at 7pm from The Hoxton Shoreditch where all information as well as tickets which are of course free.
TTH x Lululemon – Fitness Bloggers Emily and Hannah known as Twice the Health host a run club from Lululemon Kings Road on a Tuesday, Westfield from a Wednesday and Regent’s Street on a Thursday. Bags can be left in store and all runs start at 6:30pm. To sign up again head to Eventbrite and search TTH X Lululemon where all the events will be displayed.
Westin Hotel – 5km run club affiliated with Charlie also known by her blog The Runner Beans. This club seems to have really hit off with a bang, every Tuesday morning 7:15am under the series Rise and Run with runWESTIN. The sign up again is on Eventbrite but get in there quick as they seem to be selling out (for free) fast.
If none of these work for you how about start a little run club at lunchtime with your work. A few of us have been doing this at the moment and it’s a great way to break up the day and clear some headspace for the afternoon ahead. Luckily we have shower facilities at work and Regent’s Park close by which is an extra bonus!
Good luck all you runners whether you are starting out or a regular pavement hopper. Stay safe and try to keep injury free. Preparedtotri x
